Here are a few lesser-known ways to increase the value of your brand images.
So, you’ve booked the photographer, you’ve chosen your shortlist and you’re about to get 10 absolutely fabulous images, but what now?
Here’s a few ideas of how you might want to use your new personal brand images.
Update your Google Business Profile. Did you know you can control what’s seen when customers search for your business via Google? The right-hand column is called the knowledge panel, and it contains your rating, address, opening hours and a number of images. Google will attempt to collate customer images and street view data to give the panel some context, but did you know you have direct control over the images seen? Given over 90% of the internet is routed via Google, your new images will be sure to catch the searcher’s eye.
Printed media is far from dead, and in particular spaces, it’s still the default. Think about the last professional event you went to. I bet my hat that along with an iPad, they had a number of printed materials, be that informational pamphlet, brochures or postcards. Furthermore, I’m sure they had banners and signs. There is something we humans love about the physical, it unconsciously makes us feel safe and secure. It’s creating subtle mental connections which link your brand with longevity. Couple that together with your new images and you’ll be ahead of the curve.
Lastly, back to the digital. Have you ever been in a Teams meeting, perhaps Zoom, before it’s started and seen those custom holding pages? While you may not have registered it, your brain made a self-conscious connection between seeing this and trusting that brand a little further. You saw that little extra touch of professionalism and pride that brand placed on their product or service which in turn instilled faith in what they’re about to offer you.
