Real talk, I believe we should celebrate being alive every day of the year, life is a precious gift, and while we may not think about it, it really is quite quick. But birthdays are especially important! So when Chazha contact me saying “I need a London Photographer to capture my birthday shots” I knew straight away the answer would be yes.

Every so often, a client walks into the studio radiating joy and warmth and it instantly sets the tone for something special. That was exactly the case when I welcomed Chazha who was celebrating her 26th birthday—which she beautifully called Chapter 20, Episode 6. A scientist by profession, but clearly an artist at heart, she wanted to mark this milestone with images that were anything but ordinary.

As a London photographer based in Wimbledon, I’ve worked with clients celebrating all kinds of moments—but birthday shoots like this one always have a special energy. There was laughter, a sense of freedom, and a refreshing creative spark that allowed us to push past the traditional and venture into something uniquely hers.

Her positive energy was infectious, and her willingness to experiment meant we could explore a variety of styles in a single session. One minute, we were capturing soft, joyful portraits with golden sparklers lighting up the frame—pure magic. The next, we dipped into deeper, moodier tones with a bold, cinematic twist, giving off almost supervillain energy in the best way possible. It was a visual journey through contrast: light and dark, celebration and edge, joy and power.

What I loved most was how much of her shone through in every frame. Her intelligence, her creativity, her undeniable happiness—it all made for some truly dynamic portraits.
